Part 3 in the Power Up Ignite series “Finding the New You”

There are so many wonderful gifts that Jesus passed onto women and one of the most powerful gifts is His legacy of hope and new life – a Spiritual Inheritance that allows You to be a World Changer!

The word “legacy” means “something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past” (Webster). For us, legacy represents action, character, and spoken and written words that affect future relationships, family, friendships, community and nations. So decisions you make today are part of the legacy you leave tomorrow.

We each know of a family member, friend or public figure that has left a legacy – some left something to be proud of and others left only destruction behind. Whether they realized it or not, their words and action impacted the present generation and those to come.

For me personally, I desire to leave a legacy through my actions and words soaked in the love of God so my daughter will understand and embrace her value as a woman of God. A legacy walked out before her so she will see love in action.

To help me with this process, I ask God on a daily basis, “what are the words, ideas, truths and actions I should embrace in my own heart that will impact my daughter’s heart.” Insight that will allow my daughter to see for herself the love and power of Christ in her life, to enable her to be equipped to inspire and encourage her husband, family and for people in her area of influence. To me, the greatest gift I can leave her is for her heart to know and believe that God’s love will carry her through every circumstance in life.

From generation to generation, Jesus has given women power to give life and to pass to future generations spiritual keys that will bring forth change and hope. My hope is that you will think about what I have shared concerning legacy and take action steps that will inspire and empower your family to be equipped for the future!
