- Review and write down your financial plan to simplify your finances that suit your needs in order to live life on your terms not somebody else’s.
- Find your passion. Do what you love to do. Let your creativity shine.
- Have a vision with your individual goals that gives you security and freedom of choice.
- Set goals for 3 months, 6 months and a year. Pick one to start working on in the short term that will move you towards your longer-term goal.
- Do less, not more. Remove one item that you do often and are not getting the results you desire, Choose only what aligns with your overall goals.
- Track spending for a couple of months differentiating between “needs” and “wants” and then create a plan that prioritizes spending within your means.
- Take action, don’t procrastinate. Don’t wait until everything is perfect. Accept excellence and do your very best. Learn from the experience. Feel the fear and do it anyway!
- Control impulses, respond instead of react and learn how to handle and manage unexpected challenges.
- Respond to others without reacting. Raise your awareness to your surroundings. If someone says or does something to you that you don’t like, say and do nothing. Count to 10 before you respond. If you don’t have something nice to say, don’t!
- Be compassionate and be thoughtful of how others feel. Think about what the other person might be going through. Don’t judge them. Remember there are two sides to every story.
- Don’t be hard on yourself. Clear your mind from the stress and think positive thoughts.
- Get support. Be held accountable. Find a coach or partner who will support you to on your journey in life.
