You may not be aware but at the beginning of every year, I always take the time to reflect on the many reasons I started Gabbin With The Girls. My deepest desire is to see women gathering together to celebrate friendship and their faith beyond the church walls, and to share the gift of friendship with other women who are in their areas of influence. My heart yearns for women to understand how much God loves them, that they were designed with a purpose in mind, and that they have the freedom to celebrate the beautiful woman within. To understand that women who are filled with joy and purpose bring hope and life to the world around them!

Within these past years, I’ve met many women who were searching for answers to their life’s purpose. From the stay-at-home mom to the CEO, women have shared with me their feelings of insecurities, low self-esteem and sense of loss that they cannot fully explain. In the world’s economy, women struggle to see their beauty and worth because they are judged by their looks, works and false expectations of others. In God’s economy, women are considered to be beautiful and wonderfully made; however, life has a way of removing from our hearts and minds the God-given beauty that resides within each of us. Words spoken by us and others have negatively influenced how we see ourselves. When you ask women if they believe that God created them beautiful, many will say no! It is for this reason that I have chosen Beautiful and Wonderfully Made as our theme for this year. Understanding our inner beauty will allow us to enjoy life, experience healthy friendships and tap into the type of woman God purposed us to be.

I believe this year will hold many blessings for the members of Gabbin With The Girls. As an organization, we will be promoting events that will encourage and foster meaningful friendships, informational series and virtual conferences geared toward developing personal and spiritual growth, and hopefully as we return to our new normal we all can participate once again in fun-filled girlfriend getaways. Our website will continue featuring inspiring and thought-provoking articles from our members, videos, and resource materials that will help develop your inner beauty. Facebook and YouTube will also be part of our ongoing adventure as we stay connected with our members.

I am so excited that we are on this journey together in discovering our beauty within. I look forward to the great year set before us. It is your time to SHINE!!
