With the Christmas season upon us, many hearts are looking forward to opening gifts from loved ones or friends. A sense of excitement builds as one looks forward to unwrapping present and our mind begins to wonder what’s inside the gift. As our fingers unwrap our present, our mind experiences an array of thoughts – some gifts are pleasure gifts, others are functional, some have a deeper meaning and some bring out the child in us.

Did you know that God is into gift-giving?

It is true, God loves gift giving. In fact, he is the reason we celebrate Christmas – HE gave us the greatest gift of all – our Savior, Jesus Christ, and the gift of eternal life. If that wasn’t enough, he gave us His Holy Spirit to EMPOWER and GUIDES through our lifetime.

So what does the gift of the Holy Spirit provide for you? The Holy Spirit provides gifts that will be useful on your journey. Gifting’s like:

  • Love
  • Faith
  • Wisdom
  • Knowledge
  • Understanding
  • Healing
  • Miracles
  • Prophecy
  • Discernment
  • Hope

Accepting God’s gifts will change your life. The Holy Spirit will lead you on a journey that will release your true calling and purpose.

One final thought, even though we will love our gifts from family and friends, that gift will fade away. Accepting God’s gift of the Holy Spirit is ongoing.

gift that never stops giving. Gifts that activate confidence and bring true happiness. Ask him to present your gifts to you and when you receive them not only thank him but ask what they are for and how to use them.

Declaration Prayer

God, my heart rejoices in the knowledge of knowing that you love me with an everlasting love. Thank you, Jesus, as my Warrior, Friend, and Healer I am able to receive my full inheritance as your child and fulfill my purpose. I am blessed because I have a personal relationship with you and hear your voice.

Thank you for my spiritual inheritance and the giftings you have bestowed upon me. I submit my ways to you and declare today:

– I will honor you with my mind, body, and soul
– I will value and respect others
– I will be an Inspiration to others
– I will extend forgiveness and I will let go of past hurts and judgments
– I will show compassion to my family, friends, and community
– I will celebrate others

Thank you Lord I that I am an overcomer, anxiety does not rule me, and confusion is not part of my life because I have the mind of Christ.
