Okay this is HOT!!!!! Put the gloves on and as Hammer said you still “Can’t Touch THIS!” This book of the bible is a scorcher and it speaks to the Love between a husband and wife, read it if you dare, and let us pray that the passion they share will inspire us to love our husbands, and in turn our families as never before, as we grab hold to marriage as God created it to be. Full of passionate love making, fun, frolic, spontaneity, laughter, support, patience, kindness, long suffering, other centered, temperance, children, and so on, and so on, etc.
Yes, of course it takes God; there is no other way we can succeed in this holy union; it’s hard work, but here’s the good news, He empowers us to do it. He gives us the capacity to really love that person beyond anything we could possibly imagine, because it’s His marriage; He ordained it, He blesses it, He orchestrates the ultimate friendship lived out, that the world may know Him.
The budding friendship of my spouse is vital to my family. It is ordained by God. He is my love, my protector, His mouth is altogether sweet, in every way, etc. Yeah, baby!!! God created us for this wonderful, physical relationship, connected souls, united in spirit by Him, within the guidelines of true friendship and love, designed for us by Him.
Knowing another is not casual, it is giving of ourselves in the most intimate ways, it carries great weight, we must be careful, we were made to take on a specific weight, we must not take on someone found wanting (lacking what the Father has predestined) He will never measure up!, we must cherish our treasure, it is an awesome thing to behold, and it’s true depths known only by God, to be shared with someone godsent who knows their own value and honors ours, or what they think they know of our mysterious treasures.
The Song of Solomon is better than any X-rated, super sized sex hype (yeah I said it!) than the world is feeding us. How about God sending us a man after His own heart (Psalms 1) surrendered to God, knowing, and confident in who He is, and loving His spouse as Christ loves us! And, and, and He learns to love us, because we show Him Love everyday, empowered by this supernatural holy spirit, cause we can’t without it!!! And our children think how silly, lovey dovey, old fashioned, and crazy we are about one another, they are secure in that; and repeat the cycle of love and friendship. continuing… 1- Best friend – supernatural Jesus, 2 – Best friend – Godly Spouse, etc., etc., etc.
I want to say, that by no means do I have the perfect spouse, nor am I, don’t have the perfect children, nor am I the perfect parent, definitely don’t have the perfect family, we are God’s work in progress, dependent on Him to guide us in the ways of Love, and as always I do my best (sometimes) to speak in faith, to walk in the spirit; listening to my best friend J.C.
May God’s spirit of friendship in sweet communion with Him; overflow daily in your life, as you seek Him, so you will find Him; as His light of Love is the Source of all things GOOD! As always, I am inspired, everyday…. ~Gayle McKine
