As Christian women, we should be excited about the power of God’s word in our daily lives. In scriptures, God highlights and compliments our listening skills, our ability to learn from experiences, and our dedication to encourage others to fulfill their purpose in life. We are designed to be women of great influence. The creator of the universe fashioned women to demonstrate to the world the qualities of His nature. Our design is unique, for example, because we are an expression of His passion for life. We love deeply. We are dedicated to our families. We will move heaven and earth to see our children discover their fullest potential in life. As women, we stand up for those who need defending and care for those who are weak. We are competent leaders in the workplace and a driving force in community efforts. Recently, I read in the Book of Matthew that God calls us to release His colors and fragrance into the world! What an honor it is to have been created to bring forth such beauty and to express His nature.
When Jesus was on the earth, He respected both genders. He shared His work with both males and females. His ministry included women. Several times, Jesus went out of His way to show those around Him that women were loved, cherished, and respected by God. Through His acceptance of women in His ministry, He set us free to demonstrate the beauty, gifts, and talents that were first given to us in the Garden of Eden.
One of our greatest gifts is the Gift of Communication. Our spoken words, when set in action, can set hearts free. How do I know this? Because Jesus used words that were life-giving to the women He encountered. He spoke into action the truth about these women’s destiny, and they repeated life-giving words to those they encountered, thus becoming women of great influence!
In different seasons of our lives, we have seen how positive life-giving words put into action over time can produce amazing results. Everybody has experienced those moments when we hear a word and then, all of a sudden, we see the truth and our hearts are set free. Power words can change our surroundings and release hope into situations that burden us deeply. Because of our gift, we find a new determination to stand on the promises for our spouses, children, and family members to be all they can be. Words of affirmation flow from our lips because we understand the power of the spoken word. We have learned that acknowledging strengths produces confidence that allows victory to take place in an individual’s life. Our baby steps of faith begin to turn into leaps of growth!
There are many stories written about amazing women who have been world changers. Women who have served their families as a career choice held governmental positions led to movements that bring awareness to life’s difficult situations or served in missions, some even to the point of sacrificing their lives for another. Women understand that a life produced is a life worth living to the fullest of their God-given potential.
Listed below are just a few attributes that God gave women to demonstrate different aspects of His love to the world.
We give and share life- We love deeply
- We listen well
- We communicate hope
- We inspire others to succeed
- We rally with family and friends when support is needed
- We pray and believe with God that all things are possible
As I reflected on our inherited gifts, I came to the conclusion that we are God’s Cheerleaders in Life!
Dear Lord, thank you for designing me to be a woman of great influence. Fill my heart with life-giving words and anoint my ears so I may be a blessing and an encourager to those I come in contact with each day.
