The Power of Self-Prayer, Unlock Your Potential by Kathy Cobb

The Power of Self-Prayer, Unlock Your Potential by Kathy Cobb

For many of us, self- prayer or simply praying for our own needs may seem selfish, but it’s selfish NOT to pray to be your very best. Wanting to be your best is actually honoring to God. He proposed you to be successful and accomplished.

In a world where selflessness is often celebrated, it’s easy to forget that we too deserve love, care, and prayers, just like we offer to others. God’s design for us includes not only serving others but also being the best versions of ourselves. When we neglect our own needs, we limit our potential to serve and make a positive impact.

Proverbs 19:8 (NIV) reminds us, “The one who gets wisdom loves life; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” Seeking God’s guidance and blessings for your own life is a way of gaining wisdom and understanding, which in turn, enables you to love and live life to the fullest.

Incorporating self-prayer into your daily routine is an act of faith. It demonstrates your trust in God’s plan for you. By praying for your own needs, you align your desires with His purpose, allowing His divine guidance to lead you towards success and fulfillment.

One way you may be holding yourself back is by having an “I can’t attitude.” Speaking negative words into your heart is toxic to your success in life. My suggestion for 2019 is to learn to speak positive affirmation into your spirit. Taking positive action will turn your dreams into reality!

So, don’t hesitate to lift your own needs in prayer. Embrace the truth that it’s not selfish but rather an essential part of your journey towards becoming the best version of yourself. In aligning your desires with God’s purpose and speaking positivity into your spirit, you open the door to transforming your dreams into reality. Embrace self-care, self-improvement, and self-prayer as vital steps on your path to a more purposeful and fulfilling life.
